Our training philosophy is one that is constantly evolving as the study of human development and performance continues to evolve, so will NPA. Our philosophy is one that has brought success to over 85 division 1 athletes over the past few years. It is not a "one size fits all" program, but rather based on a sports specific view. Our training encompasses all of the necessary components that are needed to gain an edge on your competition. Muscular Strength & Power, Balance, Explosiveness, Speed, & Agility are many well known components of many programs, but Functional Flexibility, Sport Specific Core Strength, Reactability, Injury Prevention, Dynamic Balance, & Deceptive Speed are just a few examples of what sets NPA apart from other training facilities in addressing the more neglected components of a Sports Performance program. At NPA, we preach & practice the saying that "You are only as strong as your weakest link." We apply that to each individual athlete in our program. Having the correct balance of the components mentioned above is the only way to achieve your optimal performance level as an athlete. Contrary to popular belief, the most important aspect of any sports performance program is injury prevention. Any trainer or training program that claims otherwise, is simply wrong, and here is why. With all of the time that athletes dedicate in the off-season to practice, skill work, and training, it can all be thrown away in an instant with a season ending injury, I know having gone through a major shoulder surgery in high school and an ACL surgery in college. NPA is still dedicated to the vast improvement of all the components listed above, but we are focused on producing premium athletes who stay injury free.
