My focus is on narrative flow, regardless of the material. It doesn't matter if the video is a 30-second montage or one-hour documentary, the piece has to flow. Over the years, I've honed my sense of narrative thanks to my training in writing for the stage. As well, my training in documentary editing has taught to listen to the material, not get carried away with preconceived ideas of what the piece "should be".
