The National Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Association (NBPA) is a national, independent, non-profit professional membership organization for African-Americans and Blacks in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industry. The leadership team includes executives from Boehringer Ingelheim, Cephalon, Daiichi Sankyo, Eli Lilly, Genentech, Hospira, J & J, Merck, Miltenyi Biotec, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer, Sanofi-AventisVision: To become recognized as the world's leading advocate, voice, and core connector for African-Americans and Blacks in life sciences industries, including the biomedical, biotechnology, medical device, nanotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors. Projects include: 1) "Diversity, Inclusion, & the Life Sciences Industry" symposium on April 22, 2013 in Chicago, IL. 2) First of its kind comprehensive survey on "The State of African-Americans in the Life Science Industry".
