المركز الوطني لتنمية الغطاء النباتي ومكافحة التصحر، مركز وطني يسعى لتنمية الغطاء النباتي ومكافحة التصحر، لتنفيذ الأهداف الاستراتيجية للمملكة التي تجسدها رؤية 2030National Center for Vegetation Cover Development & Combating Desertification, is a national center that seeks to develop vegetation cover and combat desertification, to implement the Kingdom strategy that is embodied in Vision 2030مهام المركز :وضع مبادرات وبرامج ومشروعات التنمية الغطاء النباتي ومكافحة التصحر، ومتابعة تنفيذها.تطوير وحماية مناطق الغطاء النباتي بجميع بيئاته والموارد الوراثية النباتية.العمل على زيادة نسبة الغطاء النباتي في جميع مناطق التنمية.إدارة المشاتل والمعاشب وبنوك البذور العائدة للمركز لإنتاج الشتلات للنباتات البرية والساحلية لدعم مبادرات تنمية الغطاء النباتي وحفظ الموارد الوراثية النباتية.وضع الخطط السنوية للرعي وتنظيمه، وفقا لدراسات الحمولة الرعوية لكل منطقة .تنظيم الاستثمار البيئي في مناطق الغطاء النباتي.Center tasksAccording to the Council of Ministers' decree, below are the tasks the center must perform:- Initiatives, programs and projects to develop vegetation cover and combat desertification- Developing implementation plans- Following up on their implementation- Proposing environmental standards, standards, controls and requirements- Increasing the percentage of vegetation cover in all areas of development- Protection of vegetation areas with all their habitats and genetic resources- Developing annual pastoralism plans
