We offer the CHES® and MCHES® (Certified and Master-certified Health Education Specialist) examinations to verify competency in the health education and promotion profession. Those who hold the CHES® and MCHES® certifications work in a variety of settings, ranging from state and local health departments to school settings and hospitals. These certifications enable and distinguish many professionals working within healthcare and health education throughout the country and it is not limited to only educators. The mission of NCHEC is to enhance the professional practice of Health Education by promoting and sustaining a credentialed body of Health Education Specialists.
