National Federation of Cavalieri del Lavoro Details
Established in 1901, the honor of Cavaliere del Lavoro is conferred every year by the President of the Republic to entrepreneurs, women and men, who have contributed significantly with their business activities to the promotion of the national economy and, with high commitment to an ethical and social responsibility, to the improvement of the country's living and working conditions. No more than twenty-five Cavalieri del Lavoro can be nominated each year. The National Federation of Cavalieri del Lavoro has the task of illustrating the initiatives of the Cavalieri del Lavoro and of keeping the prestige of the Order. Founded as an Association in December 1914, it was transformed into a Federation in 1922. The Federation takes care of the Historical Archives, the publication of the magazine "Civiltà del Lavoro", supports the University College of Cavalieri del Lavoro "Lamaro Pozzani" and promotes the "Alfieri del Lavoro" Award.
