We are the Nation's Foundation for Youth Sports.The National Fitness Foundation is the only congressionally chartered nonprofit focused on health & fitness and is the official charity of the President's Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition. In 2018, the Foundation established the first-ever National Endowment for Youth Sports, an important step toward a goal of providing resources and participation opportunities for all kids in America. The Foundation was established by an Act of Congress and signed into law by President Barack Obama on December 22, 2010 with Board members recommended by the ranking members of Congress and appointed by the Secretary of the Department of Health & Human Services.
