The National Museum of the American Coverlet is the first independent, year-round institution devoted to American woven coverlets. Changing exhibitions generally include 50 to 100 nineteenth century coverlets, as well as early spinning and weaving equipment. Regular program events include the annual (September) Coverlet College, with three days of presentations and workshops aimed at enthusiasts beginner to expert. Museum hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday AND 12 noon through 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission includes an informal personal tour. Annual memberships are available and include free admission, a 10% discount on Museum shop purchases, and discounts on program event fees.
