Food Production - , Washington, United States
Founded in 1930, the National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA) is a member-driven trade association which represents 13 companies that produce meal and oils from soybeans, canola, flax, safflower and sunflower seeds in the United States. Collectively, these companies own and operate 70 processing plants across 22 states, process more than 1.8 billion bushels of soybeans annually, and account for approximately 95% of all soybeans crushed in the U.S. Additionally, NOPA's membership includes eight downstream consumers of vegetable oil and meal that represent meat and poultry food producers, mixed feed manufacturers and oil refiners.
