Holistic development is our aim.Company OverviewThe N.S.S. unit of Hans Raj College works under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. Every year it welcomes 500 volunteers to its family. It strives to help and contribute to the Nation and the society, focusing on the unprivileged.Works under 4 Departments namely - 1. Education - This department works under the name of 'PADHAKU'. It works for the academic and holistic development of unprivileged children. Regular classes are held to educate the underprivileged kids from 3pm-5pm, in the college premises. Many kids who would've otherwise dropped out of school due to lack of guidance and resources continue to pursue higher education due to the efforts of our volunteers.2. Rural Development - This wing has a large contribution towards the welfare of poor and needy. It organizes Donation Camps, visits to Old Age Homes and Orphanages It engages itself in various activities, aiming to work towards development of slums.3. Health - This Department organizes Blood Donation camps, dental check ups, general health check ups and Seminars throughout the year. The wing Works effectively towards promoting awareness about various health issues and their cure. Seminars on stress management and hypertension are conducted during exam days. 4. Environment and Disaster Management - This department focuses on spreading awareness about the need of maintaining clean and hygienic surroundings and to fulfill its objectives, the environment wing regularly organizes cleanliness drives, plantation drives and sessions.
