The National Streets for Performing Arts (NSPA) is an endeavour to reclaim public spaces for the Arts in urban India. We champion public spaces as an alternative platform for performance, encouraging greater interaction between artists and the community, creating spaces of cultural interaction and energizing the very city and its citizens. We also seek to support the livelihoods of less privileged and independent performers across diverse genres. We began our collaboration with the Western Railways, Mumbai Division to stage performances at three stations across Mumbai's rail network- Churchgate, Borivali and Bandra, beginning October 8, 2012.
