Tigers for Tigers provides a fresh approach to tiger conservation by empowering universities and their millions of students, fans, and alumni to take action on behalf of their tiger mascot. Tigers for Tigers harnesses and amplifies school spirit to achieve real results in conservation. There are 56 tiger mascot universities across the country with over 450,000 enrolled college students, and over six million fans who self-identify with the tiger.With only 4,000 tigers remaining in the wild, Tigers for Tigers empowers tiger mascot universities to support international conservation efforts by:• Mobilizing students, fans, and alumni to advocate and fundraise for public and private conservation programs such as the Multinational Species Conservation Fund;• Partnering with academic institutions to support multi-disciplinary programs and graduate research in tiger conservation; and• Developing the next generation of conservation leaders and professionals.
