The National Video Journalist Network (NVJN) is an award-winning collection of reporters that features outstanding people and destinations. The company started 2007 as the internet channel www.Islip.TV covering local news in the Town of Islip, NY. Our unique style of story telling was met critical acclaim from local and state government. Islip.TV was honored with multiple journalism awards in it's first year. As our reporting teams covered stories beyond the Islip town borders, the company was re-branded MyLITV. In 2009 Verizon took notice and committed to 468 episodes of the "My Long Island TV" news magazine. As of February 2016 over 1000 episodes have aired.In 2015 the company's award-winning coverage of stories outside of New York with the help of regional journalists, once again led to THE NATIONAL VIDEO JOURNALIST NETWORK (NVJN) NVJN continues to produce the "My Long Island TV" news magazine with airs on Verizon FiOS1 News Long Island which airs daily at 10:30am and 1:30pm.
