Visit us at: http://natyashala.us/ Our journey at Natyashala began in 2006 in a home studio in York PA. The dance studio started with eight students and has now grown to approximately 70 students ranging from four to eighteen year olds and our classes are conducted in both York and Lancaster. It has been an amazing journey over the last decade as several students from my first batch have now completed their arangetram and have grown into excellent dancers and performers. Our goal has been to pass on our Indian heritage and culture of dance and yoga to the next generation of youth so that they can be proud of their cultural heritage. In the process of performing various Indian classical dances the students also get familiar with different Indian languages and get a deeper appreciation of the values and traditions that symbolize the Indian culture. The students learn to be socially involved with other students by developing strong friendships. With the organization having now grown to 70 students over various age groups, several of our senior students have become role models and a source of inspiration to their junior peers. The most important thing about the classes is the laughter and smiles that we see in our enthusiastic team of performers.
