Naturlich Global Beverages, a health drink company founded by University of Sheffield graduates, is working on its first product, PureSoul, a non-alcoholic novel functional beverage. PureSoul is naturally fortified with essential vitamins and minerals and is produced by microbial fermentation of natural raw materials such as grains, fruits and Indian herbs with medicinal value. Health drinks are the future of the global beverage market as many people are shifting towards a healthy lifestyle, leading to increased demand for health drinks, and the nutraceuticals market as a whole. PureSoul is a prebiotic product with a much lower sugar content than many non-alcoholic beverages currently available and containing no synthetic additives. It was developed using Naturlich's innovative technology, to counter obesity, diabetes and vitamin B-12 deficiency. PureSoul was recognised as one of the most promising future technologies in the food and beverages sector by Biotech Industry Research Assistance Council, Govt. of India and was awarded 5 million INR under the BIG grant 2014. NGB has also been shortlisted for IChemE Global Awards 2015 in the ‘Food and drink category'. It's the only company from Asia as finalists.
