In 1995, an American guy, Brian Kenny Aldinger together with his Javanese amateur chef-wife, Isnuri Suryatmi (Nuri), opened their small roadside "Warung" (shack) in Ubud. It started being famous for the island's expatriates and the locals since Nuri added her special ribs with secret sauce in the menu. Naughty Nuri's has developed itself to serve a large tourism industry in Bali. From A "shack" in Ubud that was started by an inspiring couple along the roadside in 1995 has now grown to a chain of casual dining restaurants with over 14 outlets - 7 in Malaysia, 2 in Bali, 2 in Jakarta, 1 in Macau, 1 in Melbourne and 1 in Singapore. They also have plans to open 8 more outlets by the end of 2017 - 2 in Australia, 1 in New Zealand, 1 in China, 1 in Philippines, 1 in Vietnam, 1 in Amsterdam and 1 in Phuket, Thailand which will be opened officially in this 3rd Quarter.
