The NAUTILUS is H2020 project funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No 861647. Project aims at developing, evaluating and validating a highly efficient power generation system fuelled by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) for long-haul passenger ships. A novel energy technology will be applied on a cruise ship. The system will take care of all heat and power needs of the cruise vessel. The suggested technology will offer lower emissions, higher efficiency, improved dynamic capability, fuel flexibility, modularity and lower maintenance due to fewer moving parts. The to be developed system has potential to cut greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 50% and all other diesel engine exhaust gas emission components almost entirely. The NAUTILUS energy system will make cruising more sustainable and compliant with IMO 2030.NAUTILUS project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement No 861647.Project coordinated by DLR Deutsches Zentrum für Luft – und RaumfahrtWhole consortium: • Carnival Maritime• Deutsches Zentrum für Luft – und Raumfahrt• Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne• GRANT Garant• Chantiers de l'Atlantique• Lloyd's Register EMEA• Lunds Universitet• MAN Energy Solutions• Meyer Werft• Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen• Rijksuniversiteit Groningen• SOLIDPower SA• SOLIDPower SPA• Technische Universiteit Delft• Teknologian tutkimuskeskus VTT
