The AssociationThe Naval and Offshore Cluster of Rio Grande Area Association is responsible to coordinate the Governance of the Naval and Offshore Cluster of Rio Grande Area.The Cluster The Naval and Offshore cluster of Rio Grande Area is composed of Rio Grande Shipyards - ERG 1 and ERG 2, Honorio Bicalho Shipyard and Estaleiros do Brasil – EBR, besides several supply companies and has been a major player in the Brazilian Offshore industry.The ERG 1 and ERG 2 shipyards, under responsibility of Engevix-Encovix Construções Oceânicas S/A, have about 700 thousand square meters in area, the largest dry dock in Latin America (350m x 133m x 16m), two gantry cranes with capacity of 600 to 2000 tons each and are responsible for the construction of 8 FPSO hulls (P-66 to P-73), in addition to 3 drillships, totaling approximately 5.9 billion dollars in contracts.The Honorio Bicalho shipyard has about 125 thousand square meters and, under the responsibility of the consortium QUIP, delivered the P-53, P-58 and P-63 platforms, totaling about $ 3.6 billion in contracts with Petrobras. The current named consortium QGI is responsible for the building and integration of modules for the P-75 and P-77 platforms, totaling more than 1.5 billion dollars in contracts. At the city São of José do Norte is located the EBR shipyard, with about 1.5 million square meters, which is responsible for integrating the P-74 platform, with a contract of around 740 million dollars.
