Navig Aero is a start up aerospace manufacturing project creating an outstanding aircraft that can change how we think about general aviation and personal transport. The adventure officially begins July 1st 2014 although aircraft development is well under way with the help of the DreamTeam. In December 2013 we presented a plan at the NEC-Flying Show 2013 and then the dreamsoarer privately at Duxford Museum. From those presentations, twelve people were recruited as intellectual stakeholders - from the thirteen people who have seen the aircraft. This created our "dream-team" comprising both experts and aviation enthusiasts to help navigate the future.We begin the next phase with small steps and clear goals, eventually leading to volume manufacturing of the dreamsoarer and then on to a modular family of aircraft. The dreamsoarer glides down, eliminating fuel usage for often half the journey. Not only saving fuel, this has a major safety benefit, whereby any propulsive failure does not affect landing capability, on land or water. In addition the soaring ability allows thermalling in favourable conditions, thereby eliminating fuel usage during climbing.Low drag wings and polymorphing wing architecture gives exceptional;general flight dynamics, soaring, excellent glide ratio, xSTOL, fast cruise and slow stall.Thanks to a land-virtually-anywhere capability and long range, the dreamsoarer aims to change how we think about personal transportation for many journeys. The effects will be to improve transport in rural and isolated communities and reduce journey costs and carbon impact for everyone. The dreamsoarer aims to become the benchmark utility GA aircraft for 1-4 people.
