In 2008, DES started Navinchandra Mehta Institute of Technology and Development in Mumbai. The Instituteis named after Late Shri. Navinchandra Mehta, husband of Late Smt. Jaywantiben Mehta, Ex-Union Ministry ofPower and Patron, DES. NMITD is affiliated to the University of Mumbai (UoM) and approved by the AllIndia Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
