Navygrey was created to make great jumpers. Inspired by a 20 year old one owned by Rachel - our Founder's mother. "I spent years trying to find one just like it. I couldn't. So I decided to create one."The result is Navygrey - which began in early 2019. A small collection of understated, elegant pieces to weather the trends of time. When we began in 2019, we were the only knitwear company in the UK focused on building a fully-traceable wool supply chain from sheep to sweater. Committed to sourcing fibre in the most sustainable way, we demanded transparency at each stage to ensure our wool came from (and still does) responsibly-managed farms. A patchwork of memories, influences and experiences frame Navygrey and our approach. Our 100% traceable, natural products are beautifully simple and pragmatic, designed for the Navygrey woman who is confident, resilient – forging her own path and who does not dwell.Unencumbered by fashion, Navygrey is about effortless. Inspired by the generations of women that have trodden the path before us, not by celebrity or fads. There's a small team of grandmasters behind each piece we create. They love what they do. The Scottish and Italian wool spinners that have spent decades honing their skills. Our small team of knitters in the UK and Portugal, that finish and check each piece by hand. The farmers that are following a progressive approach to managing their land and practice holistic respect for animal welfare of the sheep.Like our customer, our company intends to age with grace.
