Nayi Disha is a school for children from marginalizedcommunities. We are located in the Harijan Basti at DLF Phase V, Gurugram and Indira Colony 2, Ardee City, Gurugram. We currently have 100+ children between the age groups of 5 to 12. These children belong to parents who work as maids, cooks, driver, house keeping staff, rickshaw pullers, etc. We give them basic education and prepare them for admission to regular primary schools. We have admitted children in DPS Shiksha Kendra, Manas Primary School and Amitasha, and the process to add others to this list is currently on. Besides basic education, we ensure regular medical check ups, immunization, etc. They are given a wholesome, nutritious lunch every day. Uniforms and stationery is also provided to them. We operate under a registeredCharitable Trust to fund the salaries of teachers and pay for the rent and other operating expenses. We have staff of 7. We also have a library, which is managed by The Community Library project. It is open to all in the Community.
