NBIA Disorders Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing emotional support to families affected by Neurodegeneration with Brain Iron Accumulation (NBIA), educating the public about these rare disorders, and monitoring and supporting research. NBIA is a group of rare, inherited, neurological disorders. The common feature among all individuals with NBIA is iron accumulation in the brain, along with a progressive movement disorder. All NBIA disorders are considered a rare and orphan disease by the National Institutes of Health.We are a Patient Advocacy Group.
