The North Carolina Alliance for Athletics, Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (NCAAHPERD-SM) is one of the oldest professional associations in North Carolina dedicated to the advancement of research and education within the fields of Athletics, Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Dance and Sport Management.NCAAHPERD-SM is an alliance of six associations: Dance Association for North Carolina Educators (DANCE) North Carolina Association for Athletic Education (NCAAE) North Carolina Association for the Advancement of Health Education (NCAAHE) North Carolina Sports Management Coalition(NCSMC) Physical Education Association (NCPEA) Student Majors Association (SMA) Representing approximately 5,000 educators and impacting more than 1 million children, NCAAHPERD-SM is one of the most active chapters in the nation.
