NE1 Active Events is a start-up Non-Profit event management, promotion and planning organisation based in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne with a clear mission to create, deliver and execute its objectives. The core values of the organisation are to create awareness and funds for local community projects. NE1 Active Events will provide a platform to which funds can be raised for the community projects while utilising events as an opportunity to provide exposure of sport to the North East for both male and females.As a team of 6 innovative Sports Management students, we came together with the common passion for sport and the medium to which sport can bring communities together. Leveraging on our background in management strategies, innovation and promotional theories we at NE1 Active Events have tasked ourselves via qualitative and quantitative research methods to deliver professional events to raise funds for the local community and provide entertainment to both passionate and new consumers. The project aims to deliver:- Raise awareness and highlight the benefit of community projects- Increase profile of sport in the North East- An event to which funds can be raised for local community projects- A professional event to which attendees depart with added valueThe impact of the event will include:- Funds to local community projects- Increased participation of North East sport- Legacy for the event
