The Dutch Mathematical Olympiad ("Nederlandse Wiskunde Olympiade") is an annual mathematics competition for high school students in the Netherlands. This olympiad is not only aimed at the ``top-of-the-class'' students, but at every student who feels challenged by a problem that involves unusual, entertaining, and not-every-school-day mathematics. The Dutch Mathematical Olympiad has been organized since 1962 and is the oldest Dutch school olympiad. Since 1969, The Netherlands also participates in the International Mathematical Olympiad. The registered not-for-profit Foundation ("Stichting") Dutch Mathematical Olympiad was established in 1996, and nowadays it is responsible for (a) organizing the Dutch Mathematical Olympiad, (b) the training of participants, and (c) the participation of The Netherlands in the International Mathematical Olympiad.
