A group of proud Iranians joining forces to create unique exclusive events in order to raise funds to give back to our community, mainly by helping students through grants, so they can achieve their dreams and pursue their passions.Our main focus within the Neekoo will be to help select students entering and/or current students of established BC universities studying full time, who need financial assistance to be able to complete their education. To qualify, students will need to meet established academic standards while also demonstrating the need for financial assistance as well as the ability to speak Farsi. Members of Neekoo will be working closely with CIF to ensure that the funds donated are given to the right scholarship recipients.Neekoo is a non-profit initiative founded by a group of proud Iranian professionals living in Vancouver. Our group consists Iranians from a wide variety of backgrounds including healthcare, wine industry, HR, UBC graduates, communication specialists, IT, hospitality, artists and loving mothers, joining forces to make a difference and giving back to our community.Our hope is to start a movement amongst our community, inspiring the youth by being role models in giving back, and helping those in need to succeed. Our hope is that the scholarship recipients in time will come back and do the same for the next generation! Our ultimate dream is to be able to offer specific Neekoo scholarships at UBC and/or SFU in future years.
