Negative Space is the first-ever comic book writing competition. We give emerging comic book writers a clear path into the industry. Our grand prize winner will receive mentorship from an agent, a writer, and an artist! We don't need to tell you the boom our industry has seen in the last decade. But where did it all start? A script. Words on a page that created memorable characters, narratives, and universes. That's why our first competition will focus solely on the written comic book script.Our grand prize winner will receive mentorship to grow and thrive in the comic book industry. Our mentors, industry heavy-hitters, will guide them through every step of the process — from collaborating with artists, to pitching to agents, to working with editors and publishers.Along with our grand prize winner, our three finalists will be featured on our website. Their photo, bio, script summary, and contact info will be visible for interested agents and collaborators to connect with them directly.
