At the heart of downtown Bacolod City, along Lacson corner Hernaez Streets, stands the first PEZA (Philippines Economic Zone Authority) accredited building in Negros Occidental. The Negros First CyberCentre (NFCC) was built to answer the need for setting up ideal and conductive environments for information and communications technology business process outsourcing investments. Sitting on a four hectare (40,000 square meters) lot, this 3 – story commercial building has spaces to house IT BPO companies, commercial establishments carrying a variety of services from food, retail, health and wellness, and travel services.-----------In 2014, the Provincial government of Negros Occidental through the leadership of Governor Alfredo Marañon committed to build the Negros First Cyber Centre to answer the need of setting up an ideal and conducive environment for the BPO industry. The same year, this project has been granted its PEZA certificate of registration as developer/operator.The CyberCentre is situated in a four hectare lot at the heart of downtown Bacolod City. With approximately twenty-two thousand square metres gross floor area that houses commercial establishments and BPO companies catering to different industries since March 1, 2015.A joint venture between the provincial government of Negros Occidental and Negros Property Management Development Corporation (NPMDC) was signed on March 22, 2016 creating Negros First CyberCentre Joint Venture Enterprises to manage the operations of the CyberCentre.To date, the CyberCentre continues to operate under the objective of inclusive growth in the province through the development and management of a vibrant, competitive and economically viable project, creating critical mass employment and livelihood opportunities for Negrenses.
