Neighbourhood Watch Stilts international is a non verbal open air visual performance theatre and music company. It was started with a site specific event in 1995 NWSI have performed in 48 countries world- wide including Japan Korea china Taiwan Singapore Australia brazil USA Poland Iceland Turkey Rumania many of these countries we have performed in repeatedly over the years like Rumania Holland France Belgium and of course the UKOur 50 or so performers are trained in pyrotechnics fire painting giant inflatable puppetry helium suspended Arial performance and helium suspended puppetry stilt performance abseiling ab-stilting music drumming and brass Our theatre brings fictional beings into the middle of everyday reality. In this playful zone passers- by become performers and the city its buildings and skyline a part of the fiction.. NWSI perform a theatre of astonishment. and distorted scale
