Nelson & Company, P. S., CPAs is a full service CPA firm. In addition to dealing with IRS tax problems we annually prepare tax returns for individuals and and businesses to include Forms 1040, 1120S, 1120 and for partnerships Form 1065. We also do Estate and Trust tax returns. Our areas of concentration are primarily construction, manufacturing, professional services (medical and legal) and automotive related businesses. Why have a CPA firm prepare a tax return? ‘They say', "I can buy software, do it myself and save lots of money." Well, software can only do so much. A tax return is not just a matter of putting numbers on a page, rather it is knowing and understanding tax law and how to take advantage of all available tax breaks. What makes our firm different? Tax preparation accounts for only a third of the services we provide. Preparing your tax return is an annual check-up of your financial situation. The rest of what we do is answering questions about money matters, tax planning for the future, business year-end planning, structuring tax strategies for major asset sales, and being our clients advocate with Federal and State tax authorities.
