Arts & Crafts - Brösarp, Skane County, Sweden
Neon is a well-established active space for contemporary art, sound, music and dance with a focus on Nordic, European and North American artists and collaborations. The artists we present are mainly involved in experimental or underground scenes, but we have also worked with well-established contemporary artists. Generally speaking, the artistic activities take the form of exhibitions, concerts, performances, workshops or seminars.Neon has also produced records. So far two releases has been produced by Jim O'Rourke and Erik Levander, and occasionally other art editions such as printed shirts, limited edition books and prints have been made. Some projects focuses entirely on young people, for example the workshop CAMP.Neon is situated in the old premises of the National Road Administration in Brösarp, in the very southeast of Sweden. A small village with about 600 inhabitants, but yet only an hour from Copenhagen/Malmö. Neon hosts exhibition rooms, a stage, a coffee bar, a shop, and an installation room in the silo next to the main building.
