Nephin Capital is a boutique investment and advisory firm seeking to create and source differentiated investments and advise a select group of clients where we believe our approach and networks can add significant value.We target investment situations where our expertise and extensive networks, combined with active engagement and the application of capital, can be transformative and produce compelling returns. The majority of our activities involve private and alternative investments. Geographically, our focus tends to be N. America and Western Europe.Utilising a similar approach to how we work with investments, on a select basis, we also advise companies, asset owners and investment teams.Example areas where we work with investee or client businesses include:o Fund-raising and financing strategyo M&Ao Strategy (e.g. pricing & customer/product profitability, growth strategy)o Business developmento Financial / quantitative analysis & planningo Restructuringo Sourcing / management of 3rd party experts, consultants, short-term project resource and business development contactso Liaison / negotiation with investor groups to resolve issuesWith asset owners and investment teams, example areas include:o Design & implementation of investment processes and organisationso Sourcing and evaluation of investment opportunities, development of additional sourcing avenues & partnershipso Support and development of processes and capabilities in due diligence, decision-making and portfolio monitoring / managemento Review of existing portfolios, management of "orphan assets", coordination across coinvestorso Advice and execution support for spin outs or new product/strategy launchesAreas of particular interest include:o Support for asset owners on private & alternernative investingo Micro-cap private equityo Alternative finance, asset-backed FinTech, "alt alts"o High-growth businesses where institutional VC investment is not appropriate at this stage
