The Feelgood Factory believes that all people in Sefton should have the same opportunities to enjoy good health and quality of life regardless of income or neighbourhood. Recognising that people living in poorer areas have a lower life expectancy and more problems coping with everyday living, we work with Sefton people to identify gaps in services and to enable local residents to improve their own lives and health.The Feelgood Factory was founded in 1999 and since then we have helped thousands of Sefton people to live happier and healthier lives and to help realise a dream of a world without life-impacting inequalities.The Feelgood Factory provides services throughout Sefton but with a concentration in the south of the borough. We provide practical help such as volunteer-led shopping and gardening for older and vulnerable people, support for those who are lonely including befriending and supportive activities and cooking, exercise programmes and mental wellbeing programmes to help people adopt healthy lifestyles.Our specialist staff are also able to provide training for others in a range of health-related areas including food and nutrition, breast feeding and mental health.We believe that all local people can help to make the changes in their own lives and in their communities to realise the potential that leads to happy and healthy lives.
