Network for Agricultural Technical Education of Nigeria, are an initial core group of colleges and polytechnics devoted to encouraging and supporting youth to enter into the agricultural industry somewhere along the value chain. Together with civil society, traditional and government leadership, communities, businesses, industry and families, NATEN is prepared to facilitate community, region and nation led initiatives. By providing learning and hands-on environments that offer opportunities for small business and entrepreneur startups in farming and agribusiness, NATEN will champion the re-cultivation of our agricultural culture here in Nigeria.NATEN pursues partnerships with local community networks of business and education to seek out opportunities that will give young people the knowledge and experience they will need to enrich the local economies with new startup businesses through farming, agribusiness, markets and transport. To modernize the ag industry will require 21st century technology and the support training needed to implement modern tools and methodologies. Working in partnerships with businesses and existing agri-value chains, NATEN will alliance with other existing projects supported by national and international donors to ensure non-duplication and expansion of current services and resources. On its journey to create a collaborative support environment to enhance the agricultural value chain within Africa and around the globe, NATEN will provide the leadership, management, transparency, facilitation, administration and advisory capacity for its members and partners to work together to achieve their common and shared goals. Additionally, NATEN will seek partners with skills and experience that will compliment and bolster those of its collective members.Vision: Creation of a collaborative support environment in Nigeria to enhance the agricultural value chain within Africa and around the globe.
