Civic & Social Organization - Winchester, Massachusetts, United States
The Network for Social Justice (NFSJ) began in 1991 as a small group of individuals committed to becoming catalysts for social change in Winchester after witnessing an upturn in racist and anti-semitic incidents. For almost 25 years the organization focused on organizing awareness-raising workshops and programs and building individuals' ability to have challenging conversations and explore their own biases. The mission of NFSJ is to advance equity and inclusion towards targeted systemic change in the town of Winchester and beyond. This is accomplished through a three-pronged strategy that includes community education, engagement, and activation.
