Cancer is the second most common cause of death but unfortunately in Pakistan there are some centers which are offering radiotherapy with old conventional method. In order to provide the quality cancer treatment for everyone with the latest technology M. Hashim Memorial Trust (MHMT) was established and registered with the Government of Sindh in 1990 to serving humanity and determined to serve the community by offering free radio-surgery to the underprivileged cancer patients. Having all infrastructure and basic diagnostic services, Neuro-spinal & Medical Institute (NMI) under the umbrella of the Trust has taken a step against cancer. Pakistan Gamma Knife & Stereotactic Radiosurgery Centre has been providing free services of stereotactic radio-surgery to the poor cancer patients in Pakistan by establishing Centre of Excellence of Stereotactic radio-surgery, the best possible treatment of cancer, "Radio surgery with ionized beam" after imaging the precise targets, planning in a single session by using the latest Leksell Gamma Knife and Synergy-S whose treatment is bloodless, painless with maximum accuracy. There is no hospital in Pakistan which has Leksell Gamma Knife and Synergy-S equipment except NMI. We are now extending the strength of cancer beds in the Hospital to maximum Fifty 50 beds comprises of male, female and children wards with emergency, high dependency and ICU beds having all necessary facilities. The hospital therefore requires donors who are willing to be part of this expansion and make a contribution which will benefit them not only during this life time but in the hereafter as well.
