Neuron started operation in March, 1993 making design, prototype and documentation of RF and microwave equipments for application in the Brazilian space program. Later, in 1996, Neuron became responsible for the delivery of 45 qualification and flight equipments to INPE, the Brazilian National Space Research Institution. Among the items supplied for the CBERS 1 & 2 - China Brazil Earth Resource Satellites 1 & 2 there are S-band/UHF transponders, UHF transmitters and diplexers, VHF QPSK transmitters, UHF and S-band helical antennas. Currently Neuron is participating of the CBERS 3 & 4 program through five contracts with INPE for delivering of microwave & RF equipments such as antennas, X-Band data transmitters, and S-Band and UHF meteorological data transmitters. Since its foundation Neuron has also supplied consulting, engineering and design services to Brazilian industries in the telecommunication, RF, microwave and antennas areas. We also develop and manufacture environmental data collection products like WOCE and oil spill tracking drifters, anchored buoys, Data Collection Platforms for oceanographic research, environment and water quality monitoring. We supply:a) consulting, design and engineering services in the telecommunication and RF & microwave areas; b) assembly of electronic space and other special products c) environmental data collection products including some types of drifters and buoysd) commercial representation of electronic components and products requiring some degree of technical knowledge or training or system level engineering.
