The Nevada Microenterprise Initiative mission is: "To enhance the economic self-sufficiency and quality of life of low to moderate income individuals through entrepreneurial training, technical assistance and access to loans for new and expanding business throughout the State of Nevada.NMI is a federally certified community development financial institution that delivers a comprehensive array of business services and programs. NMI is specifically targeted to help micro, small, women and minority owned businesses in low-income and disadvantage communities to receive the tools and resources needed to successfully start or expand their business. As a direct community lender, NMI provides access to capital to entrepreneurs and small businesspeople who do not meet traditional financing requirements and coordinates additional technical assistance resources, including professional business counseling, entrepreneurial training and specialized business courses as well as micro-enterprise and access to capital workshops that allow entrepreneurs to gain further knowledge to create or expand their business.
