In an attempt to create a handbook for new spouses so she too could find answers to all her burning questions, Britt accidentally created a business, New Altitudes, and a podcast, Moments with an MEO, centered around helping military spouses scale their businesses and build their online community through authentic connection and social selling. New Altitudes, LLC was founded on the principal of helping military spouses who, according to militarytimes.com in 2018, have a 9.9% unemployment rate, largely due to living a lifestyle not built for themselves. It is no secret that start ups and small businesses have a 10-20% chance of making it past the 5 year mark, but for many military spouses small businesses that showcase their hobbies while bringing in an income is extremely important. New Altitudes supports and encourages military spouses to start successful businesses and keep them flourishing with business and social selling guided coaching and programs. The mission? To help 10,000 military spouses start or grow their businesses, communities, clientele, and scale their businesses to achieve a higher consistent income than that of their spouse.
