The New England Medical Association (NEMA) is the regional affiliate of the National Medical Association (NMA). We look to build a rich community among black physicians and physicians in training in the New England area.To give you a brief summary of who we are:Our Mission: To serve as a collective voice for physicians of African descent in the New England area and to promote the interest of our members. To be advocates for parity and justice in medicine with a focus on eliminating disparities across the entire health care system.• Equipping members with the tools needed to succeed in areas of academics, research, technology, advocacy and public health through a support network.• Providing professional education, science and scholarly exchange, the advancement of health policies, medical education and member recognition align in order to align with the pillars of the National Medical Association.• Partnering with key stakeholders to uphold our mission and the interest of our members for the betterment of healthcare.
