Welcome to New Start Counselling and Psychotherapy. My name is Samantha (Sam) Seymour and I am passionate about helping women, young women and girls with their Health and Well-being. I believe it is important to be flexible, open, and unbiased within the counselling space as each of us have unique worldviews, values, and perceptions on life. I am passionate about changing mental health from the outdated (yet widely used) medical model of mental health where medications and diagnosis are the norm: away from the horrendous (yep my value judgement showing) business model of mental health (born from the NDIS) where it's all about the money and not much about the healing: into the true strength based mental health model where the story is the story and that holds the key to strength and change.
