In 1933, young Mr. Fred Clark saw the potential of his land and immersed himself in the world of apple husbandry. This has been followed by a further two generations of Clarks', producing only the highest quality fresh apples.In 1996 Mr. Clarks Grandson Stephan, joined the family orchard business. He had always dreamed of making healthier snacks using the finest apples grown on their orchards.In 1999, Stephan saw a great opportunity and the potential to start developing ‘apple snacks', after seeing his good American friend importing dried apples into New Zealand.Stephan with much determination and ingenuity made a start and in 2000 built an operation that could produce 12 tons of dried apple rings a year. Apple rings were produced for export markets and we launched our domestic program in 2017.In 2019, New Zealand Apple Products produced over 200 tons of dried apple rings and is now the largest apple drying company in New Zealand. We have also expanded our operation to manufacturing Freeze Dried snacks and Fruit Puree pouches for both domestic and international markets.
