Owner, Jen Cupani, cultivates the collection from brands known for their craftsmanship, design and quality. Her experience in dance and theatre gifts her the advantage of knowing fit and quality whether she is advising a brand new little dancer or a seasoned professional. Jen's trained eye ensures fit is correct not only for comfort, but also for safety and longevity. "It was always my dream to build something. The name, "Newcastle," is an homage to the street Jen lived on in Chicago when she was a little girl learning to dance. The Newcastle crown, designed specifically for Newcastle Dance and Theatre Supply, is inspired by both a royal crown and a ballerina's tiara. The three versions of the Newcastle crown, black and white, pastel and full color, represent the process a dancer goes through: Audition, Rehearse, Perform.
