Newland House School is a co-educational day preparatory school set in a residential area on the Twickenham-Teddington border. We have provided our compassionate, compelling and distinctive style of Preparatory education to our pupils for more than 120 years. We offer tradition and reliability, yet embrace and explore new concepts. We have experience and expertise but do not stand still, and we are coeducational because we believe it provides a more instinctive and natural foundation for learning. The school is ideally situated for parents in the Richmond, Kingston and Hampton areas and is very close to the river Thames. The school currently occupies approximately 5 acres with grounds that provide sports facilities, including an all-weather pitch. The school is also fortunate to have daily access to the nearby National Physical Laboratory Sports Ground.In September 2017 the school also opened a nursery school for children aged 3 to 4 and is now divided into Nursery, Pre-Prep, which provides for children in Reception (EYFS) to Year 2, and Prep for children in Years 3 to 8. Our new Pre-Prep school building was opened in autumn 2016 immediately adjacent to the Prep School providing an innovative and unique learning environment for pupils using leading sustainable design and the latest technology. Following the move to the new premises, the additional space has enabled the school to offer a three-form intake, with an additional 20 places available in Reception from September 2016.The school's main intakes are at the age of 3 (Nursery), 4 (Reception) which are non-selective and Year 3 via a 7+ assessment (note the last intake via 7+ will be in 2018). Places may also become available in other age groups throughout the school year.
