The brokerage was formed in 2014, the result of a merger between Newmarket and Grand West. In late 2015 the business acquired IC Frith & Associates (SA) which resulted in increasing its broker and client footprint nationally. Following this acquisition an Authorised Representative was appointed in Queensland to expand the specialised product offering in this location. Newmarket Grandwest is a member of the Steadfast Group which is the largest general insurance broker network and the biggest group of underwriting agencies in Australia and New Zealand.
