Newnham College Boat Club is a women's boat club at the heart of the University of Cambridge. We were founded in 1893 and have pioneered women's rowing at this university. Over 100 years later we are still going strong.We are the oldest and most successful women's boat club in Cambridge and look back on a proud tradition. Our rowers have gone on to compete in national and international regattas with phenomenal success - most notably Anna Watkins with Gold at the London 2012 Olympics!Rowing is a sport that requires strength, endurance, precision and teamwork. It is also one of the most popular sports at the University of Cambridge.
