Newport Beach Facilitator Pod Details
The Newport Beach Facilitator Pod provides students grades 1-6 with the opportunity to experience a hint of normalcy in their typical school environment. Every Monday-Friday, from 8:00 am- 2:30 pm, these students will be broken up into small groups by grade level and Zoom class time. The small groups are meant to encourage social distancing while also allowing students to collaborate and learn while continuing their social-emotional development and increase their mental well-being. This is not a home-school structure. Instead, these students will have facilitators who guide them through their distance-learning program in the following small groups:1. Zoom class instruction2. Homework/Study time/Questions/Collaboration3. Physical Education4. Art/Crafts*The above activities are not listed in order but are the groups/activities that will be offered based on proper scheduling by grade level.This pod also allows parents who need to return to work to do so with the promise that their child's school work will be completed and their brains and bodies will have been exercised by the time they leave for the day.
