Design - Los Angeles, California, United States
We are a woman-owned, certified DBE/WBE Environment Graphic Design studio. Our award-winning work is a result of our ability to understand and interpret the demands of the project, the needs of the users and the dynamics of the project team. We believe in establishing long relationships with our clients. The studio's capacity includes print and identity design, way finding, building and display graphics, interactive media and photography – all the elements necessary to create a sense of place and shape a unique identity. Our client list includes hotels, community and regional parks, schools and universities, creative work campuses, and urban retail centers. We have designed sign and wayfinding programs that included branding for Virginia Avenue Park in Santa Monica, PCT, an office complex in El Segundo, Playa Jefferson, an office complex in West Los Angeles, The Original Farmers market in Los Angeles, and Mission Meridian, an urban transit village in South Pasadena. We have completed sign programs and large scale graphics for the Otis Booth Campus of the Children's Institute, The Best Western Hollywood Hills Hotel and the 28th Street YMCA. Originally a print design studio, Newsom Design continues to seek out projects that require information design in formats ranging from books, historical displays and public space interpretive panels. We developed and produced historical displays at the Original Farmers Market, the Santa Paula Bike Trail and are currently completing a project for Rancho La Patera in Goleta ( a collaboration with Think Roth Projects). Newsom Design has won awards from the Society of Environmental Graphic Design, IIDA Southern California Chapter, California Travel and Tourism Commission, CASE and International Association of business Communicators. Our work has been published in SEGDdesign, Guide Sign Graphics (Japan) Print Magazine, Graphis, Typographic i and Graphic Design America Two.
