In 2001, Brian Brodeur established the NewYorkDVD brand, serving clients across the United States and Europe. NewYorkDVD partnered with industry-leading companies such as Sonic Solutions, Hudson Music and Masterdisk Studios - producing dozens of entertainment and educational projects for Music Sales Int'l, Hal Leonard Publishing and Barnes and Noble. These titles featured many of the world's most talented musicians including Frank Zappa, Phish, Rod Stewart, Mike Keneally, Steve Gadd (James Taylor/Paul Simon), Neil Peart (RUSH), Vinnie Colaiuta (Sting, Zappa), Steve Smith (Journey, Vital Information), Dave Weckl (Chick Corea), Victor Wooten (Bela Fleck), Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Louis Bellson, Sheila E, and dozens more.In 2006, NewYorkDVD was awarded the DVD Association's Excellence Award for Music DVD development of Neil Peart's "Anatomy of a Drum Solo" music educational title, and numerous projects have received recognition, including several #1 ratings (Billboard, Amazon, etc).
